Hi! I'm Naiara Lopes,
Full Stack Developer
Civil Engineer
Project Manager
I’m a Full Stack Developer with a background in civil engineering with project management experience. My technical journey began with ComIT, where I learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React. Now, as a Full Stack Developer at InceptionU, I continue to deepen my skills, with a strong focus on teamwork, knowledge sharing and creating user-centric solutions.
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors-hiking, exploring nature, and discovering new technologies.
I gained hands-on experience with key web development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, MongoDB, and JSON. Throughout the course, I worked on real projects, building both front-end and back-end components of web applications. The program not only strengthened my technical skills but also helped me develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities, preparing me for a career in modern web development.
I completed a 3-month Web Development course at ComIT, where I learned HTML, CSS, and React, focusing on building interactive and responsive web applications.
Working in retail, I handled stressful situations with a focus on customer satisfaction, addressing needs with a positive, solution-oriented attitude. I greeted customers, provided product information, processed transactions, and issued refunds or gift cards according to company policies. This role also helped me improve my English and communication skills.
I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, contributing to building affordable housing for families in need. I also dedicated time at the Geriatric Day Hospital in St. Boniface Hospital, assisting with recreation activities for seniors, providing support, and helping create a positive and engaging environment for the elderly.
Working in a fast paced environment I was able to work under pressure, develop my organization skills to contribute to the planning and development of the projects. Created project budgets by estimating material prices. Monitored project progress and wrote reports weekly for the project manager and clients and also met with clients, contractors, and stakeholders on construction sites to present project improvement and answer potential questions.
During my university years, I founded and led the Academic Athletic Association, which represented the university in provincial sports leagues and organized championships. As President, I was responsible for overseeing operations, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth coordination among team members.
My degree in Civil Engineering focused on project management and operational efficiency in construction. It combined engineering principles with project planning, emphasizing leadership and team coordination. I gained expertise in applying management methods to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with quality standards.
